In this release, in addition to being able to use the checklist to guide you through the application process, you will be able to submit your street vending business license application within the Business Portal. The application will ask you for all the required information,, and track your progress After submitting your application, you will be able monitor the status of your application by accessing the dashboard.

When going through the Register with DLCP checklist item, you will now be able to search to see if your desired business name is available. Similar functionality is available on the Trade Name Registration checklist item as well.

In this release, we have created checklists for four new business types:

• Beauty/Barber shop
• Contracting business
• Farmer's/Public market
• Street Vending

Before, when going through the checklist for starting a new business, you were asked for the corporate file number from your corporate registration and the registration ID number for your trade name registrations, but there was no validation to check if those were the correct file numbers. In this release, we will be verifying the corporate file number and trade name registration ID numbers against the list of corporate and trade name registrations to ensure the numbers provided are accurate. This will allow you to track your corporate registration and trade names in the future.

The Cigarette License checklist item is now available for the food and retail business checklists. Before it was only available for the grocery store checklist.

In this release, we have implemented a series of email notifications, which will be sent to the email address tied to your Access DC account. These emails include updates on the progress of your checklist and reminders for the business license renewals.
